The California Welfare Laboratory was established to:
- inform the public, policymakers, and practitioners about research on poverty and welfare in California, the U.S., and the world (see research database);
- provide recent trend data on poverty, inequality, and welfare use in California and the U.S. (see trend data);
- provide expert commentary on recent developments in poverty and welfare in California and the U.S. (see publications)
The database provided here was originally built and maintained by the Welfare Policy Research Project (WPRP) under the auspices of The Regents of the University of California, Office of the President. We are honored to continue the excellent work of WPRP and the Office of the President of The Regents of the University of California. (see C-WELL Initative)
